What are all the different monitoring tools can be used in DevOps and how to categorize like Server monitoring, Network Monitoring and Application Monitoring?
One of the quickest tool coming to my mind is Nagios for server monitoring. Nowadys ELK(Elasticsearch, Logstaths, Kibana) stack is being adopted for various scenarios and it is really depends upon which team is using it .
Another tool or provider are AWS CloudWatch & Google StackDriver for capturing metrics on data transfer, disk usage, and CPU utilization.
For application performance monitoring we can use New Relic and AppDynamics. And there are some more tools used in industries like Grafana, Prometheus , Splunk etc. So with all these we have to lookup on the cost involved for these tools before onboarding them.
